Let’s talk about printing

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “printing”? The feeling of frustration? Annoyance? Exasperation? Anger?

Printing is a pain and in our experience, printers are a source of problems far from the helpful peripherals they are meant to be. Because more often than not, they simply do not seem to work. It’s time for a change.

To put things in perspective, I did a web search for “printer problems” on Google. I wanted to get an idea of how widespread the issue of printing was.

The result was a staggering 250 million hits. A search for “printer doesn’t work”? Over 500 million pages. Clearly, I am not the only one facing printer issues and desperately looking for a solution. So are millions of other people.

This makes me wonder: why has no one managed to find a solution that fixes printing once and for all? How is it possible that today in 2012 printing is still the source of so many problems?

Modern day technology allows us to do a lot of amazing things. We can make video calls to virtually anyone in the world, carry hundreds of books with us in our pockets on e-readers, browse the web on our mobile devices from anywhere. Technology is in our phones, tablets, cars, running shoes, vacuum cleaners – literally everywhere.

And yet, technological advances haven’t been able to provide us with a simple and effective solution for printing.

David M. Ewalt of Forbes addressed the same problem in 2010 in proclaiming that “printers still suck“. Two years down the road and still nothing has changed in the printing landscape.

It’s time for a change. We believe it is time to talk about printing. ezeep aims to address the pains of printing and change the way printing works.
