Windows 365 is Microsoft's Cloud PC service. It streams a full Windows desktop, apps, files, and settings included, from Microsoft's cloud to whatever device you open it on. Close the laptop in the office, then pick up the same session on a tablet at home. Nothing to reinstall, nothing to resync.

What is a Windows 365 Cloud PC?

A Cloud PC is a Windows desktop that runs on Microsoft's servers instead of your own hardware. Users sign in through the Windows App, a browser at windows.cloud.microsoft, or an RDP client, and land on the same desktop every time, regardless of which device they used to get there.

Windows 365 editions

Windows 365 comes in three editions. Business is the entry-level option, capped at 300 users, and doesn't require Microsoft Intune to manage it (Microsoft 365 admin center handles it instead, though Intune enrollment is optional). Enterprise is managed through Intune from the start and supports custom images and network configurations for larger, more regulated environments. Windows 365 Flex (renamed from Frontline in May 2026) is built for workers who don't need a dedicated PC full time: a single license covers a group of users sharing access on a rotating basis, with only one session active at a time.

Where do you manage a Windows 365 Cloud PC?

Enterprise and Flex Cloud PCs are managed through the Microsoft Intune admin center, under Devices > Windows 365. Business Cloud PCs are managed through the Microsoft 365 admin center unless you choose to enroll them in Intune alongside your physical devices.

Printing from a Windows 365 Cloud PC

A Cloud PC runs in Microsoft's data centers, often nowhere near the printer at a user's desk. That's exactly the setup traditional print drivers were never built for, and it's where ezeep comes in. Instead of installing a matching manufacturer driver for every printer a user might need, ezeep renders each job in the cloud and delivers it to whichever printer that user has been assigned, with no print server required to make it happen. A Cloud PC provisioned in Denver can print to a printer at a branch office in Chicago the same way it prints to something down the hall. ezeep is built on ThinPrint, already handling printing in Fortune 500 environments, so that reliability carries into a Windows 365 deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Cloud PC?

A Cloud PC is a Windows desktop that runs on Microsoft's servers and streams to your device over the internet, rather than running on local hardware. It keeps its own state, so your apps and files are there every time you sign in.

What is Windows 365?

Windows 365 is Microsoft's Cloud PC service. It provisions, licenses, and streams these cloud-hosted desktops to organizations, with editions for small businesses (Business), larger enterprises (Enterprise), and shared or occasional-use scenarios (Flex).

Can you print from a Windows 365 Cloud PC?

Yes, but not automatically. Windows 365 doesn't turn on printer redirection out of the box. An admin has to enable it, either through the Intune settings catalog or, for Entra hybrid-joined Cloud PCs, through Group Policy. Once that's on, the Cloud PC can see printers the way a physical desktop would.

Do you need print drivers on a Windows 365 Cloud PC?

With native Windows 365 printing, yes. Every printer a user might need still requires a matching manufacturer driver, the same as on a physical desktop. ezeep removes that requirement by rendering jobs in the cloud, so there's no manufacturer driver to install or maintain on the Cloud PC itself.

Can a Windows 365 Cloud PC print to a printer in a different office?

With ezeep, yes. A Cloud PC provisioned in one region can print to whichever printer the user has been assigned, regardless of where that printer physically sits, with no print server connecting the two.
